About Rip2It -
Rip2It is the brainchild of Pat Lovell and Sean Roach, who are well known in the internet marketing world... some good, some not-so-good, but Lovell is certainly a player in the internet marketing game. Rip2It may or may not still be in business, as I signed up last year and have since read reports that Pat Lovell has left the company, and my login no longer works (I did this before the Get Rich Experiment started). However, I felt it merited a review, as there are surely clones out there that they are marketing.
Here's the concept. You pay them about $1500 and they provide you with several websites, configured and optimized for Google Adsense. They show you how others make tons of money online from Google ads, and how you can get a piece of that pie with your own sites, which they create for you. It's supposedly so easy you don't need any computer experience, and it's practically all done for you -- you just need to fill in some basic information.
Their programs ranged from $1500 to $10,000, plus membership costs of around $100/month. They brag about a return policy which was 3 days after purchase, but a search of online reviews shows that was very hard to receive.
Here's the truth; The websites they produce are actually decent sites, with decent content, and set up to make some money if you drive enough traffic to them. In this regard, it's not a scam as many people claim. However, it is confusing to figure out, even for someone with over a decade in IT like myself, especially when it comes to CHANGING any content or structure. Once you figure it out, the interface is fairly easy to work with, but forget about making any changes unless you are an HTML and PHP expert.
The main problem with the system is this -- they provide several niches from which you can choose, but they are the same niches that they sell to everybody in the program, and presumably niches which they've already covered and used up. Some are pretty good (I have one site that I NEVER thought would produce actually making me about $50/month), and others that do absolutely nothing. Secondly, they make it sound like there is nothing you need to do and you'll instantly start making money -- this is absolutely 100% false. This is like giving somebody a 7-11 store and placing it in the Sahara Desert. Yes, you have the product to be able to sell, but nobody will find it unless you are a marketing genius, and overhead will run you out of business quickly. Plus, you have to register a domain name for each site, and pay for hosting. These costs, while minor, eat up the income from most of the sites unless you spend hundreds of hours and/or lots of cash to promote them.
The system itself is actually pretty fair... it's just sold in a misleading way. I can't in good conscience recommend this product, since the only people that can make a profit on it (different than "making money" on it which anybody can... at miniscule amounts) are those with expert-level technical and marketing skills, and those people can produce results without this product.

I created over 40 sites using their software. About 10 are making about $3-4/month (which covers the cost of the domain so I'll keep them) in passive income. 20 of them aren't making enough to cover the $10/year for the domain (seriously), so I will likely drop them at the end of the year. Two are making between $25-50/month, so not bad. But I spent about $300 promoting them to get them to that point, in addition to the $1500 or so I spent on the original product, plus countless hours tweaking them. To see examples of their software's handiwork, you can visit the gold teeth store or bedding store niche sites.
Analysis --
(1/5 stars)
This is not a total scam, as many online reviews will tell you, in that they provide a decent product that CAN be turned into a profit. The 'scammy' part of it is clearly the sales pitch, which makes it sound as if anybody, with no training or knowledge, can make big money from it.
Their customer service is poor at best, non-existent at worst. The profit potential may be unlimited as they claim, but it's highly unlikely for most people. There are much better programs for much less available. See our recommendations list.

Although not what I'd define as a scam (which I believe is something that is just fraudulent or illegal or never intended to work), this product does promise things it can't deliver. It could be a good product in the right hands, but it's not right for the other 99% of the population.

$2.50. This is nearly impossible to compute, with so many factors, including experience level, niche, marketing plan, etc. But in reality, it will take years for the average person to make back the initial investment, and several months for even a seasoned marketer. However, there is potential to hit a home run. Well, a double at least.

(4/5 effort)
Confusing to figure out, fairly easy after that. Difficult to make changes, and requires heavy marketing effort to actually make it work.
Experience required --
(4/5 experience level)
Moderate to just put up the sites and watch the pennies trickle in. Advanced to make anything actually happen.
