About the Project
Lately, there are literally hundreds, if not thousands of offers to make money from the internet, work-from-home, or other get rich quick 'opportunities' out there. Are they all scams? Are people really making millions from them?
We have set out to find the answer, and find the best money making systems online. Over the course of the next year, we will attempt 50 different internet money making opportunities. Some may be successful, some may not, but we will report the results publicly to you, unbiased and honestly.
To guard against individual bias or abilities, three individuals will try each system, dedicating 20 hours to set up and execution in the first week (as most people wouldn't give more than that to a get rich scheme), with the remainder of the week dedicated to maintaining and updating other systems. We expect some systems will require more time and ability, and others are more "plug and play", so these are just guidelines.
We will test only programs which appear to be legitimate. We will NOT participate in anything which is clearly illegal or unethical, such as Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, or those which involve spamming or falsification of facts. Examples of these can be found on our results page.
When possible, we will ask the companies for access to their products for test, in exchange for publicity on our site. We feel legitimate businesses would welcome this opportunity, as positive feedback from a neutral party would be much more valuable than the price of a single sale. Unscrupilous companies trying to scam people out of money will not. There may be other reasons for companies to not want to give us access to their product for free, and we respect that, but in all cases we will report the status (paid, donated, refused, pending, etc) on our projects page.
As many of these companies have affiliate programs available, we have discussed whether joining these would compromise our mission. We have decided that because we are only reporting actual results, and not providing sales material, we can still maintain our unbiased opinion, so we will sign up and provide a link to our visitors. As anybody visiting this site is interested in making money online, we hope it doesn't bother anyone if we also benefit.
In many cases, there will be many programs of a similar nature (example, surveys, adsense, autosurf) and it would not be practical to test each one. In these examples, we have researched the most popular and most recommended, and will test those.
Some of these programs will overlap, which may skew results (hopefully positively) but our goal is to make a million dollars in profit, either by finding the one most legitimate money making opportunity online, or finding 20 good ones, so we will make use of any resources we have available. When this is the case -- for example we will produce many websites which we can then link to one another to build search engine rank -- we will provide a disclaimer or explanation.
Our mission is to find ways to make a living online, or even get rich. We will do this by working hard, in order to establish a working business which can sustain itself, not get rich overnight. This site is provided to share our experiences so others can learn from our mistakes and successes, and hopefully provide a resource that others find valuable.
